How Hardwork & Prayer turns $100 into a $10Million Business in Lagos, Nigeria.

Paul Orajiaka, Auldon Toys - Entrepreneur

In the new book, I sit down with Paul Orajiaka to discover step-by-step how he managed to take what was equivalent to USD$100 and turned it into a business worth over USD$10Million selling dolls right on the streets of Lagos. The story is an epitome of how one can be absolutely focused, hardworking and implement specific steps to achieving a remarkable goal.

“Start Small. Think Big. No Idea is worthless. If your passion is strong enough, you’ll always succeed.” – Paul Orajiaka

Africa is a place where for some people, they’re not sure how to navigate its terrain on a business level, so for the most part they just leave it alone. However, listening to Paul’s story of how he began by selling on the streets of lagos and now owns one of the largest toy companies in the countries, I quickly realised that beneath all the misconceptions, there’s a goldmine which if penetrated could result in some of the most outstanding successes any entrepreneur could ever have. — This is a pattern I have seen across all the different entrepreneurs I interview on my book; Freddie Achom, Jason Njoku, Richard Vedelago etc. Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things and getting extraordinary results.

“Intergrity has always been one of the cornerstones for my success”

For Paul, he cites prayer, hardwork and integrity amongst few other things as the reason for his success of turning $100 into $10million. A faithful christian, he prays to God every morning – I guess that rings a bell. Intergrity is also something he speaks highly about as a cornerstone for his success. But don’t get it twisted, he is certainly a shroud businessman and plans on expanding across the rest of Africa.

So for Paul, Intergrity, Hardwork and Prayer are 3 of 5 pillars of his success. What are yours? What keeps you going? I’ll leave it there.
